Waikato prop George Dyer joined the Gallagher Chiefs as an injury replacement in 2022 and went on to debut against the Crusaders.
In 2023 he earnt a full-time contract and became a regular starter at tighthead prop for the side. During round 11 of the DHL Super Rugby Pacific Dyer scored his first try in the Gallagher Chiefs jersey in Dunedin against the Highlanders.
Dyer was later in 2023 called into the All Blacks XV squad for the Lipovitan-D Championship Cup in Japan.
