Coming into the Chiefs squad as an injury replacement in 2016, Hames had a meteoric rise, going on to win his first All Blacks cap against Australia in August. Kane is excited to show his quality again in 2017..  - The Chiefs

Kane Hames' season went from strength to strength in 2016 after making his debut for the Gallagher Chiefs against the Sharks. His solid performances earned him an All Blacks cap for the Bledisloe Cup test in Sydney against the Wallabies. 

Kane represents Tasman in the Mitre 10 Cup, seeing his team make the final in 2016. Kane's experience and quality will be a big asset for the Gallagher Chiefs in the 2017 season.
