Bruce Reihana and Roger Randle were joint top try scorers for 2000, displaying scintillating form.
Victories over two traditional South African heavyweights, the Bulls in Rotorua (40–7) and the Sharks (44–31) in Durban, were the season highlights.
The team was well served by Paul Mitchell, George Leaupepe, Rhys Duggan, Glenn Taylor, David Briggs, Glen Jackson and Paul Martin, who played all 11 games. Adidas became the new official jersey supplier for New Zealand Super Rugby teams in 2000 marking a 20+ year legacy.
