Eleven Chiefs make 2026 All Blacks squad

Gallagher Chiefs well represented in All Blacks and Māori All Blacks squads

20 players from across Chiefs Country have been named in the 2026 All Blacks and Māori All Blacks squads.

Following another highly competitive DHL Super Rugby Pacific campaign, 11 Gallagher Chiefs have been selected in the All Blacks squad ahead of the Nations Championship Southern Series: Samisoni Taukei’aho, Tupou Vaa’i, Josh Lord, Simon Parker, Wallace Sititi, Luke Jacobson, Cortez Ratima, Damian McKenzie, Quinn Tupaea, Anton Lienert-Brown and Leroy Carter.

Their selection is a reflection of the strength, depth and consistency within the Gallagher Chiefs environment, with players recognised across the forwards, halves, midfield and outside backs.

In the forward pack, Taukei’aho, Vaa’i, Lord, Parker, Sititi and Jacobson have all earned selection after strong campaigns in the red, yellow and black, bringing physicality, work rate and leadership throughout the season.

In the backs, Ratima, McKenzie, Tupaea, and Carter continue a proud Chiefs tradition of strong, competitive and exciting players earning their opportunity on the international stage.

Tupaea’s selection follows an outstanding 2026. He was named the DHL Super Rugby Pacific Player of the Year after a consistent campaign that helped drive the Gallagher Chiefs to the Grand Final, and was also named in the Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Year.

The squad also marks a welcome return to the All Blacks environment for Anton Lienert-Brown following his time in Japan with Kobelco Kobe Steelers. His return brings experience, composure and leadership to the midfield, adding another chapter to his long connection with Waikato, the Gallagher Chiefs and the black jersey.

Chiefs Rugby Club is also proud to acknowledge nine players named in the Māori All Blacks squad: Jahrome Brown, Kyle Brown, Benet Kumeroa, Ollie Norris, Reon Paul, JJ Pokai, Jared Proffit, Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi and Tyrone Thompson.

A special congratulations goes to Reon Paul, JJ Pokai and Kyle Brown, who have been named as Māori All Blacks debutants. Selection for the Māori All Blacks is a significant honour, carrying whakapapa, whānau and tikanga onto the international stage.

Across both squads, these selections are a proud reflection of the players, provinces, whānau and communities that make up Chiefs Country.

Congratulations to all our Chiefs named.
