The Chiefs Rugby Club is excited to invite 74 U16 players from across its six provincial unions to Chiefs HQ on 10 December to connect the next generation of talent.
The U16 Development Clinic will introduce players to the Chiefs pathway and give the club an insight into talent even earlier than their current University of Waikato U18 camps.
Newly appointed to the Pathways and International Academy role at Chiefs, former Manawatu head coach Mike Rogers, is championing the new initiative.
“It is key for us to identify talent early and keep them connected to the Chiefs. We would love to see these men as part of the Gallagher Chiefs in future, so we aim to show them a clear path to get there through attending this clinic,” said Rogers.
